1. Initial Enquiry

Begin by getting in touch via the enquiry form below. Share any inspiration, ideas, or requirements — whether it’s a completely new design or a refined version of an existing Solvei piece.

You don’t need to have everything figured out. The process is guided.

2. Design & Stone Selection

We’ll discuss design direction, materials, and stone options. This may include:

  • Metal choice (9ct or 18ct gold, sterling silver)

  • Stone type, colour, and size

  • Ring sizing or proportions

  • Budget guidance

Once the design is confirmed, a quote and timeline will be provided.

3. Creation

Your piece is handcrafted in my studio using traditional jewellery-making techniques. Each detail is carefully considered, from stone setting to finishing.

Lead times are typically 3–5 weeks, depending on complexity.

4. Completion & Delivery

Once finished, your piece is carefully checked, polished, and packaged before being sent to you or prepared for collection.

Frequently asked questions
Are your pieces solid gold or gold-plated?

Solvei jewellery is crafted using solid gold alloys (such as 9ct, 14ct, and 18ct) and sterling silver. We do not use flash-plated or costume finishes on our fine jewellery pieces.
What is the difference between 9ct, 14ct, and 18ct gold?

The difference is the percentage of pure gold within the alloy.

-9ct gold contains 37.5% pure gold and offers excellent durability for everyday wear.
-14ct gold contains 58.5% pure gold and balances strength with richer colour.
-18ct gold contains 75% pure gold and has a deeper gold tone with a softer feel.

All options are suitable for fine jewellery, the choice depends on preference, lifestyle, and budget.
Are Solvei pieces handmade?

Yes. Each Solvei piece is individually made by hand, allowing close attention to detail at every stage of the process.
How long does it take to make my piece?

Most pieces are made to order or produced in small batches. Please allow approximately 2–4 weeks for production unless otherwise stated on the product page or through correspondence with us.
What if I order the wrong ring size?

Most rings can be resized depending on the design. If your ring doesn’t fit, please get in touch and we’ll advise on the best solution.
How do I care for gold and silver jewellery?

Remove jewellery before swimming, showering, or exercising. Avoid contact with chemicals and fragrances. Clean gently with warm water and a soft cloth, and store separately when not in use. Natural wear and patina are expected over time.
Do you offer custom or bespoke jewellery?

Yes. Custom and bespoke work is offered on a limited basis. Please contact us with a brief description of your idea and any references.
What is the process for a bespoke order?

Where is Solvei jewellery made?

Solvei jewellery is designed and handcrafted in Hannah's studio in Queenstown New Zealand.
Do you offer gift wrapping or discreet packaging?

Orders are packaged thoughtfully and securely. If you require gift wrapping or discreet packaging, please note this at checkout or contact us.
Do you accept returns or exchanges?

Due to the handmade nature of our work, we do not accept returns for change of mind. If your piece arrives faulty or damaged, please contact us and we will arrange a repair or replacement where appropriate.
